11/10/2023 0 Comments Mcdonalds chicken nuggets made ofThere’re also two wild-card elements that aren’t addressed in McDonald’s announcement. ▼ Just to be safe, we took a commemorative photo of what we guess we’ll have to soon start calling “McNuggets Classic.” On the other hand, thigh meat tends to be juicier, and others have expressed concern that the on-their-way thighless McNuggets may be lacking in moistness and flavor. As in the U.S., in Japan chicken breast tends to be more expensive than other cuts, so replacing thigh meat with breast would be a move to pricier ingredients, and some online commenters in Japan say they’re intrigued at the prospect of more premium-tasting McNuggets. McDonald’s Japan says the change is a result of the company’s continual reevaluations of their supply chain in order to provide safe and delicious food in an environmentally sustainable way at competitive prices, without going into specific details about how removing thigh meat from the mix helps them achieve that goal. Currently, the meat that’s used for McDonald’s Japan’s Chicken McNuggets is a mix of ground chicken breast, thigh, and skin. The revised recipe, though is getting rid of the thigh meat, so the new McNuggets will be a breaded mix of breast and skin. Actually, you could make the argument that the ingredient shift is an upgrade. The company isn’t going to be replacing the poultry with plant-based meat, nor with any other chicken substitute of more dubious or nebulous origin. Let’s start with the reassuring part first: McDonald’s Japan’s current Chicken McNuggets are made of chicken and breading, and the new-recipe ones are going to be too. Wait a second, just what the heck are chicken McNuggets made of? It’s a question we’ll admit to not having given much thought to before now, sort of like how we happily chowed down on Cup Noodles Mystery Meat for years without confirming its true composition. It seems like the ingredient list should be pretty straightforward and non-flexible, right? After all, aren’t Chicken McNuggets just made of chicken and…uhh…nuggets? So it came as something of a shock to many people when McDonald’s Japan announced that it’s making a change to the ingredients in its Chicken McNuggets. menu, though, and just like in McDonald’s country of origin, Chicken McNuggets are a long-time big-seller in Japan. There’s still plenty of overlap with the chain’s U.S. Sure, McDonald’s Japan has some unique menu items, like the “for-adults” Nikuatsu burgers that kicked off the new year, or the Asian Juicy sandwich lineup that’s just around the corner. 11/10/2023 0 Comments Dun dun dun hop butcherYou agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions and all applicable law or regulations of the jurisdiction in which you reside and may be subject. 11/10/2023 0 Comments Flamingo lily indoorsLindsay Pangborn, plant expert at Bloomscape says these plants actually need a bit of both, so aren't a top choice as a low light indoor plant: 'Anthuriums thrive in settings that offer bright, indirect light. (Image credit: Irina Krolevets/Alamy Stock Photo) Do anthuriums like shade or sun? A product such as Mighty Mint Plant Protection from Amazon is easy to apply and can be used to kill spider mites, insects and fungal diseases on your houseplants. A biological control may be effective in treating a heavier infestation of spider mite and scale insects, or try an organic spray based on natural pyrethrum or plant oils – the latter can also help to control mealy bugs. Or you may be able to wipe off scale and mealy bugs. If you catch these pests at an early stage and they are only on a few stems or leaves, the simplest solution is to remove the affected parts. Mealy bugs are woodlice-like creatures that hide beneath a fluffy white coating. Red spider mite causes mottled foliage, while scale insects look like little bumps on the stems and leaves. As for pests, anthuriums are particularly susceptible to spider mites, and scale insects and mealy bugs can also be a problem.' Spider mites can also be a problem for many other houseplants such as the string-of-hearts and fiddle leaf figs. If you see this symptom, move the plant away from the window, but also check that the soil is not too wet, which can have a similar effect.Īdam Besheer says: 'Over-fertilization can also be a problem, and plants will quickly let you know if you've gone too far by developing yellow spotting on their leaves. Placing your plant in strong sunlight may cause the leaves to discolor and turn yellow, which can also be a reason for monstera leaves turning yellow too. Underwatering is less harmful, so if the leaves and stems are wilting and the soil feels dry, watering should quickly fix the problem. Take care not to overwater your anthurium, which may cause the roots to rot and the plant to wilt and eventually die. (Image credit: Svetlana Isochenko/Alamy Stock Photo) Key problems with anthuriums and how to solve them Feeding once every two to three months from spring to early fall with a balanced fertilizer, such as a 20-20-20 or 10-10-10, is sufficient, and always apply it to damp soil at the strength recommended on the label.' This Bonide Houseplant Liquid Plant Food from Amazon is a 10-10-10 mix, meaning it contains equal amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. 'Anthuriums are sensitive to excess salt build-up in the soil, which can occur if you fertilize them too frequently. Lindsay warns that while these plants like a little fertilizer, applying too much can be detrimental. In warmer weather, simply opening the windows can increase the humidity levels too. To increase the humidity around your plant, place it on a tray of pebbles topped up with water, group it with other plants, or use a plant humidifier, available from Amazon. Watering your plant over the kitchen sink and leaving it to drain fully before putting it back in place is another easy way to prevent these indoor flowering plants from rotting.Īnthuriums also enjoy humid environments. 'Remove any excess water that collects in the saucer or waterproof container to prevent root rot, which may eventually lead to the plant’s death.' 'When watering, add it slowly, allowing the soil to absorb the moisture, until it flows freely through the drainage hole,' she adds. In practical terms, this means when the top of the compost feels dry but when you slip the plant out of its pot, there is still some moisture at the bottom of the rootball. 'Anthuriums should be watered when about 50 per cent of their soil is dry,' advises Lindsay Pangborn, plant expert at online retailer Bloomscape. How often to water indoor plants can vary depending on the plant type and your home environment, but there is a general guide to follow. In their natural habitat these tropical indoor plants are rarely subjected to cold temperatures, so bear this in mind and keep yours in a warm area, away from drafts. 11/10/2023 0 Comments Kobo hd clara reviewKobo’s Pocket interface is so slick that it makes a Kindle’s ability to sync content from an Instapaper look archaic by comparison. In addition to reading books, it’s also possible to consume articles saved to a Pocket account with the Clara HD. If you want to buy a book, the Kobo Store is accessible via a link at the bottom of your device’s homepage. Unlike Amazon’s subsidized, advertising-rich interface, the Clara HD’s UI doesn’t force new book suggestions down your throat. Speaking of the Kobo Store, you’d scarcely know it’s there. There are icons for managing the device’s backlighting, Wi-Fi, and battery life, and options for searching your device’s memory or syncing your books bought from the Kobo Store to the cloud. The top of its home screen is lined with a drop-down menu that provides access to your library, Pocket articles (more on that in a moment), and a Settings menu. The e-reader’s onscreen user interface is spartan and easy to navigate. That’s twice as much as a standard Kindle Paperwhite has onboard. As for storage, you’ll find 8GB of flash memory under the hood. For an E-Ink device designed to serve up text, this is a pretty zippy chipset. The Clara HD’s display can be illuminated by white or soothing orange front lighting.īuried inside of the Kobo Clara HD is a 1GHz Freescale Solo Lite processor and 512MB of RAM. Given the propensity for white- and blue-spectrum light to keep folks awake at night, Kobo’s orange ComfortLight PRO front lighting is a win for anyone who wants to wind down for the night by reading in bed. What’s more, the Paperwhite is only capable of illuminating its display with white light. Its eight white LEDs provide more consistent illumination than the latest-generation Kindle Paperwhite’s front lighting can. The Clara HD’s front lighting bests the Paperwhite as well. The same can’t be said, however, for images: the Clara HD displays photos at a much higher resolution. While reading the same book on both devices over the course of a week, I didn’t note any difference in the sharpness of text. The Clara HD packs a six-inch, 300-ppi Carta E-Ink display, just like the Paperwhite does. Add to that the textured plastic back, and the Clara HD is a comfortable hold, even one-handed, for long periods of time. With its trim dimensions (6.2 x 4.33 x 0.3 inches) and 5.85-ounce heft, the Clara HD is a featherweight compared to the Kindle Paperwhite. The Clara HD definitely wins on hardware. 11/10/2023 0 Comments Ritz bits cheese and peanut butterTop the casserole with the Ritz crackers.Pour in the melted butter and toss to coat the crackers. 11/9/2023 0 Comments Mugen screenpackI have always held the absolute utmost respects for mugen artists/creators. I recently started editing lifebars to suit my own preferences. I edited SP's, removing certain aspects I didn't particularly like or changing things, like changing how ports are handled or how they look. For example, I have about 300 stages in my mugen, most of which aren't designed for 16:9 or zoom, but I made them all compatible with a pretty far zoom out. I am not a creator myself, the most I can do is extensive editing of stages and SPs. It also requires alot of time and patience to even edit things. Mugen is NOT an easy thing to learn, despite what people will say to you. I can tell you studied and practiced alot. And I can tell you, while some of the elements do feel like something Vector has done, it has enough subtle differences in those aspects to for me to say "Yeah no, this is original.". I have all of them (Even the ones that are gone) and used them for a very long time. I was and still am a massive fan of Vector's SP's. Alot of content in mugen can look or feel similar to other peoples stuff, but that's just because that concept has been done before. Things have been done so many times by so many people that there are always going to be similarities. Whether that be in actual art, fighting games, music etc. There will ALWAYS be similarities in art, no matter the easel. I'm glad your not letting people get you down. Tabris666 said, January 20, 2021, 05:54:31 PM you know the mugen scene is bad when they start forgiving people that spitted on the community face. Why you think this was posted here and not on MFAA most of sxvector content was posted there. If you are just editing just say i edited this from X screenpack by X authors, used this intro by this other author and no one will say nothing yet if you keep quiet you are just spitting in the face of the community. Look i wouldn't be saying that if i didn't know that screenpacks are easy to edit for example i could edit a screenpack and claim i made all the job when i just swapped some stuff which is the easy part, there is no way to claim he didn't know who sxvector is if the screeenpacks are the same in several areas. Sxvector is the best (he knew it reason of why he never reuploaded stuff) he retired but the biggest reason was the harrassment he suffered on other site by a certain user named Ramon Garcia one that thinks editing a screenpack without mentioning who made all the code and claiming it your own work is the way to go. You know the mugen scene is bad when they start forgiving people that spitted on the community face. It has the same feel as the one's that inspired it. The guy who's probably making the best SP's isn't even releasing them to the public. My SP's basic.or "retro" if we're being nice. So even if he'd been around, he still might not agree with that. Someone who "made the best screenpacks" is a subjective statement. This guy said he "started to idolize the sp at the beginning of the pandemic." It's likely this guy just showed up on the mugen scene, has no idea who Vector is cuz he's gone, only knows about mugen based on what he see's on facebook(like a lot of people really), learned what he could in the time given and produced a SP that reflects what he's gathered in that amount of time. It's obvious he borrowed from Vector, but it's different enough to be considered his own. It's really nothing new to use sprites, concepts and other things from other creations. Tbf, a lot of Vector's screenpacks look similiar. For an alternate path, go around the mosque to find two concrete barriers, these can be blown up with several rockets.
